Hydra ELITE is a food supplement containing plant extracts, taurine and glutamine peptide. The presence of zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis, normal metabolism of carbohydrates, fatty acids and vitamin A. Chlorine contributes to normal digestion through the production of hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

Any athlete knows the importance of keeping the body properly hydrated for maximum performance, metabolic health and muscle growth.

Water within our bodies has specific vital roles:

  • Cell volume regulator (a hydrated cell is a healthy and efficient cell);
  • Solvent in myriad metabolic reactions
  • Regulator of body temperature (thermoregulation)
  • Transport of nutrients
  • Expels metabolic waste
  • Lubricating agent for organs and anatomical districts.

Whatever the sporting activity, more or less intense, the maintenance of physiological processes and thermoregulation in particular, leads to a loss of fluid that can affect performance.

One of the major balancing factors on which every athlete must focus is maintaining an adequate water intake correlated with a correct electrolyte balance. Numerous scientific evidences together with a confirmed clinical literature show how dehydration affects performance, increasing fatigue, affecting lucidity and cognitive capacity. This is emphasised considerably if one is in hot or cold environments. During physical activity, fluid losses of 2% of body weight can affect performance. If this threshold is exceeded, the body may react with an increase in core temperature, heart rate and fatigue, as well as fatigue of the nervous and metabolic systems. Even greater losses (4-6%) can cause cramps.

Muscle strength and endurance may also be affected: dehydration can affect the ability of muscles to contract and increase the feeling of fatigue.

In the world of fitness and body building, it is said that “a well-hydrated cell is an active, healthy cell”. To keep cells hydrated, it is important to support electrolyte balance, with minerals such as sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, chlorine and phosphorus.

Following performance or training, one of the first priorities is therefore the restoration of electrolytes lost through thermoregulation.

"For me, as a top trainer, products with ingredients with supportive, restorative and tonic actions are essential for everything from training performance to recovery and for the general well-being of any athlete. This is why, in collaboration with Yamamoto® Nutrition's research and development department, I was keen to include Hydra ELITE‘. Neil ’Yoda" Hill

Hydra ELITE from the new Neil Hill Approved series was created to support the needs of every athlete by offering mineral salts such as magnesium, which contributes to normal electrolyte balance, dehydrated coconut water, the amino acids taurine and L-alanyl-L-glutamine, and the Spectra™ blend.
Spectra™ is a blend with natural extracts obtained exclusively from fruit and vegetables, which proves to be a new element in supporting the body even after intensive training: spinach and blackberry extracts have a supportive and restorative action; green tea extract has a tonic action in cases of physical and mental fatigue; tomato, basil, garlic, onion and broccoli extracts have an antioxidant action; finally, elderberry and acerola extracts support the body's natural defences.
