CreaPOWDER provides 100% creatine monohydrate and is recommended for adult athletes who engage in intense physical exercise: creatine is in fact capable of enhancing physical performance during repetitive activities, improves maximum power during exercise and delays the onset of fatigue. It is one of the sports supplements backed by the largest number of scientific studies supporting its effectiveness.

Creatine (from the Greek κρέας = meat) is an amino acid derivative naturally present in the body. Its concentration increases as muscle mass increases. It is found in foods of animal origin, but is also produced by the body in the liver, kidneys and pancreas. Once synthesised or ingested through diet or supplementation, it is taken up by muscle tissue and stored within the muscles. Creatine, when phosphorylated into phosphocreatine, forms one of the body’s muscle energy stores, used for rapid and intense muscle contractions. From a metabolic point of view, it plays a role in meeting the demands of anaerobic alactic metabolism. In sport, it is used as an ergogenic aid, but it also has antioxidant and cardioprotective effects. In practical terms, it enables better recovery between sets (in the weight room or during calisthenics) and between repetitions for sprinters, conserves glycogen and improves recovery between training sessions.

Is creatine safe to take? Can I really take it for long periods?

Excess creatine is considered safe, as even in large quantities this molecule cannot be converted into fatty acids. The scientific literature reports that it is effective when taken over prolonged periods, with no side effects.

Who is creatine recommended for?

The ergogenic and hypertrophic effects of creatine monohydrate are not only beneficial in bodybuilding and gym training, but also in other sporting activities, such as cross-training, powerlifting, sprinting athletics disciplines (such as the 100 and 200 metre sprints), hurdling, calisthenics and many others.

Our Advice

Recommendations for its use are limited to advising that it should ideally be taken NOT on an empty stomach and for continuous periods, preferably alongside other nutrients. Excess creatine is considered ‘safe’, as even in large quantities this molecule cannot be converted into fatty acids.

The literature recommends two different strategies for intake:
REGULAR INTAKE: 3–5 g of creatine per day
LOADING PHASE: a peak intake lasting from 1 week to 20 days at 20 g per day (to be divided into 4 daily doses of 5 g each); followed by a maintenance phase of 3–5 g per day on a consistent basis.

Frequently asked questions

Is it normal for my creatine product not to dissolve completely? What can I do?

Although creatine is one of the best-known and most widely used sports supplements, with many years of scientific research supporting its effectiveness, it is a substance that has one limitation: its solubility. By its very nature, creatine in MONOHYDRATE form tends to remain in suspension, meaning it does not always dissolve completely. It is therefore always advisable to shake the shaker well before drinking, to ensure none remains at the bottom.

A good alternative to get round this problem is to choose other forms of creatine, such as tablets.

I take protein powder. Can I also take CreaPOWDER at the same time?

Certainly. There is no contraindication to combining creatine with protein powder; on the contrary, we recommend taking them together to meet your protein requirements and maintain an ideal body composition.

Do I need to take CreaPOWDER every day, even when I’m not training?

Yes: creatine is not specifically a pre-workout supplement, and the benefits of taking it are realised when it is taken continuously (i.e. without interruption).
