OMEGA VEGETALE is the most innovative source of precious essential fatty acids of vegetable origin, obtained from "AHIFLOWER Oil", or Buglossoides arvensis seed oil with the patented Ahiflower® brand. AHIFLOWER oil is the richest vegetable source of omega-3 stearidonic acid (SDA), metabolic intermediate in the conversion of ALA into EPA, known on the market today, also contains omega-6 gamma linolenic acid (GLA) in an optimal balance for the maintenance of the physiological functions of the organism in which they are so importantly involved. The SDA stearidonic acid contained in abundance, is a metabolic intermediate in the conversion of ALA into eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), involved in various physiological processes fundamental for the correct functioning of the organism, where in this case its conversion is 3-4 times higher than the most common form of vegetable omega 3 from linseed oil, as it bypasses an enzymatic process (does not require the intervention of the hepatic delta-6-desaturase enzyme) typical of the ability to be bioavailable for omega sources 3 of vegetable origin. Its subsequent conversion into EPA is then much easier and more effective, at a rate of up to 30%, compared to a typical conversion rate of 3-6% of ALA (see for example from flaxseed). Ahiflower oil, a source of stearidonic acid (SDA), is then broken down and transformed into docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), the two types of omega-3s found in high concentrations in fish oil. DHA is a primary structural component of the brain, skin and retina, while EPA is known to help rebalance cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Unlike the omega-3 alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) found in most plant sources such as flaxseed, hemp or chia seed oil, AHIFLOWER oil is the highest source of omega stearidonic acid -3 (SDA) providing approximately 60% more of this valuable intermediate fatty acid compound SDA than echium oil and 6-10 times more than hemp seed oil.

Developed through a careful natural selection and the most innovative agronomy of the last ten years, Ahiflower oil is now the richest and most effective balanced source of omega-3 and 6 fatty acids combined in a single plant, characterized by a very high concentration of omega 3 in SDA and ALA for + 62%, GLA and LA (omega 6) for 18%, and for 6-14% of oleic acid as omega 9. This balance of omega 3 compared to omega 6, with a ratio of about 4 : 1 turns out to be optimal, where the beneficial properties more than confirmed by the science of omega 3, we find the support of omega 6 in a correct intake, together with the support of omega 9.

This exceptional vegetable source of essential fatty acids alternative to fish oil, finds application in the contrast to chronic inflammatory states that contribute to the onset and progression of many diseases, favors the protection of the cardiovascular system and the immune system, fights the syndrome metabolic and problems related to neuro-cognitive deterioration, and in promoting the normal health of the retina and skin.

OMEGA VEGETALE is the most valid plant alternative to the sources of essential fatty acids, which does not have bad smells, digestive difficulties, regurgitation, and can be taken by those who follow a vegetarian or vegan diet, or by those who are intolerant to animal sources. OMEGA VEGETALE thanks to Ahiflower® brings the best vegetable version of omega-3 + 6 + 9 much more efficient, providing a new revolutionary alternative more easily bioavailable than other vegetable sources, through a source obtained from sustainable, traceable, but above all effective crops more than traditional omega-3 oils of plant origin such as flax, chia and canola, or as a valid replacement for conventional versions of omega-3 from fish oil, if there are intolerances.

The processes of obtaining Ahiflower®

is the fruit of more than 10 years of dedicated agronomic research, from traditional plant cultivation and natural selection, on thousands of hectares of prime quality farmland in the UK

without the use of GMOs, using minimal inputs that comply with the strict environmental regulations of the UK to guarantee: safety, efficacy, purity, sustainability, traceability and authenticity.
