Minerals are micronutrients that are indispensable for the proper functioning of the body. They are involved in a great many cellular processes and in maintaining body homeostasis, and ensuring a proper supply of them is crucial to our state of health. They are essential for human well-being, and are involved in so many reactions: they are part of our bone structure, they are combined with organic substances and are also found in solution in body fluids. It is therefore extremely important not to underestimate the intake of minerals, in order to ensure and, if necessary, restore the body's homeostasis and the maintenance of the water-salt balance.
