Yamamoto® Research Wild Caught Advanced Omega is a food supplement based on concentrated and highly purified fish oil in the form of triglycerides, from 100% fishing and certified IFOS ™ (International Fish Oil Standards), rich in omega-3 fatty acids . EPA and DHA contribute to normal heart function * (the beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of EPA and DHA). Furthermore, DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and physiological vision ** (the beneficial effects are obtained with a daily intake of 250 mg of DHA).


HOW DO YOU GET THE FISH OIL FROM WHICH OMEGA 3 ARE DERIVED?

The fish caught, i.e. sardines, herring, anchovies or wild salmon (not from farms), is pressed and squeezed and from here a liquid is obtained, which is then inserted into the distiller from which an ultra-purified fish oil and, above all, with a strong concentration of EPA and DHA. The processes in which raw fish oil must then pass in order to be defined ready for consumption are various. With multiple molecular distillation, all free fatty acids, heavy metals, colored compounds and many other impurities are eliminated from fish oil, making it purer. A complete purifying activity, expensive and complex m it is the multiple molecular distillation process, the longest and most expensive of all, that determines the ultimate quality of fish oil:
The concept of purification from heavy metals is also increasingly important, as even the interesting fish in the production of omega 3, such as oily fish and therefore also those of small size, unfortunately, contain pollutants such as mercury, dioxins, heavy metals, pcb and furano, all due to marine pollution.

WHAT'S THE BEST?

In the vast market of the world of Omega 3 supplements, there are generally two types of fish oil: those ethyl esters (EE) and natural glycerides (triglycerides, TG). The difference between these two types of fish oil substantially depends on the different production processes, and on their different characteristics, including bioavailability. The concentrated oils are produced through a purification process in which the fish oil is reacted with ethanol, the reaction of which forms a synthetic substrate called "ethyl ester of Omega 3 fatty acids", rich in ethyl-EPA and ethyl-DHA. , and they are the most popular.

Our Advanced Omega uses "100% wild caught" fish oil in ultra-purified form in the form of triglycerides. It comes in the same structure and chemical composition as found naturally in fish oil. From a technical point of view it is possible to produce Omega 3 concentrates that are in their natural TG form but an extra step is required which obviously increases the costs from 50% to 80% compared to Ethyl-Esters. What does IFOS ™ certification mean?
