Yamamoto® Research BRH-C is a food supplement based on vitamin C, with Rosa Canina extract, flavonoids and rutin. Vitamin C contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and the normal function of the immune system. In addition, Rosa Canina has a supporting, restorative and antioxidant action.

Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin, essential in humans, but not in all mammals, an antioxidant, which performs multiple functions in the body. The etymology of the name ascorbic acid refers to the fact that foods containing this substance are useful for preventing the onset of scurvy, a pathology linked to the lack of Vitamin C in the diet. Vitamin C plays an important antioxidant function, contributes to normal energy metabolism thus reducing tiredness and fatigue, contributes to the maintenance of the normal function of the immune system, allows the correct synthesis of collagen, ensuring the health of mucous membranes, gums and epidermis .

Dog rose, also called wild rose, hedge rose, thorn rose or scrub rose is widespread almost everywhere, in the countryside, in the hills and up to 1900 meters above sea level, at the edge of the woods, along dirt roads, inside of uncultivated fields, as long as in clayey soil and sunny environment. The rosehip plant can reach up to 4 meters in height, has woody twigs sprinkled with small red thorns.

Rosehip berries are very rich in vitamin C, 2,200 mg per 100g, while for example 100g of oranges have only 50 mg. They are also characterized by the presence of beta-carotene, which in the body is transformed into vitamin A, and of another antioxidant carotenoid, lycopene; there are also some B vitamins, in particular B1 and B2, vitamin E and K.
They also contain folic acid, flavonoids, tannins and fatty acids (including oleic, palmitic, oleanolic, stearic and linoleic acids). The content of mineral salts is also remarkable, in particular iron, zinc, copper, calcium, manganese, boron, sodium, phosphorus, potassium and magnesium. Finally, the wild rose berries are rich in water (75%), fiber (24%, with 5.1% pectin, a soluble, emollient and regularizing fiber of the intestine) and proteins (7.2%).

Rutin is a derivative of quercetin found in rue leaves (Ruta graveolens), citrus fruits, buckwheat and other vegetables. This flavonoid boasts important biological properties, among which vitamin P stands out (it reduces permeability and fragility of capillaries and increases their resistance), and antioxidant activity.
