Biography

Born in Chicago, I have always been involved in sports at school. Growing up, I tried everything from wrestling to track and field and soccer. When I graduated from high school in 2005, I was a lean 145-pound athlete. I enrolled in college, but I had an interest in modeling, so I started working with an agency and getting involved in the industry. As things started to progress in this field, I began going to the gym more often to stay in shape. It was during this time that I started enjoying the process of working out, citing my love for the pump, and began adding mass. That said, I didn't immediately decide to pursue bodybuilding. Instead, I continued modeling while I earned a degree in healthcare management, eventually landing a job as a hospitality manager at a hospital. While initially hitting the gym to get bigger, it wasn't long before I was suggested to try my hand at bodybuilding. I finally embraced it in 2013, competing at the NPC Junior Nationals.Even though I placed 7th, I was drawn to the thrill of being on stage. So, I quickly recovered and won the 2013 NPC National Championships in the Men's Physique Class B.It was at this point that I earned my Pro Card and realized I was destined for a career in this sport.I made my professional bodybuilding debut at the 2014 IFBB Mile High Pro, securing the 7th spot. I continued performing at this level for all my early contests. However, I kept improving with each competition until I achieved my first professional win at the 2015 IFBB Tampa Pro, proving myself a legitimate threat. This stamped my ticket to my first Olympia, where I placed 5th.After winning the 2016 Arnold Classic, I decided to leave my day job behind and fully commit to bodybuilding. Each year showed exponential growth, adding around 70 pounds of pure muscle.I made my third appearance on the Olympia stage in 2018. This would see me realize my full potential, winning the Men's Physique division title and proving to be the best in the world.Even though I wouldn't retain the title in 2019, coming in 4th, I wasn't discouraged. I tightened my package once again and won the 2020 Mr. Olympia, with the potential to maintain a long reign as champion.
